Replicant Gets 1 Million Views!

Another random video featuring -=BRS=- product!  We're not sure how we get on these social media feeds, but once in a while we spot a -=BRS=- knife flying around (literally).  This time it was on a Kimbo Slice Facebook fan page (not sure if it is an official page for the UFC Fighter).  The video has received over 1 Million views.  The flipper is @Ethanj45  on instgram. We feel he should deserve some credit as: 1) It is his video after all!  2) He's an up and coming flipper with killer style and technique!  Check out his IG and you will be impressed.  The knife featured is the -=BRS=- Premium Replicant with white scales.

A few things we at -=BRS=- and the Balisong Community (Check out @balisong_techniques, jerzeedevil.com) would like to point out about the video to the general public that may not be as familiar with balisong / butterfly knife manipulation:

1) The title of the video is misleading.  Balisong manipulation, flipping, butterfly knife tricks, however you term our sport and art the purpose of what we do and how we perform is NOT combative in any way, shape, or form.  The intent of flipping is not for intimidation and never will be to "Back someone down from a knife fight."  

2) The balisong is not more or less dangerous than any other type of knife.  We don't see the balisong as a weapon any more than a folding knife, fixed blade, or any other object that could be used to harm someone or used in a combative manner.   To the balisong community we primarily see the butterfly knife/balisong as our tool and means to engage in the art/sport of balisong manipulation.  

3) Flipping is an art and it can be a competitive (non-combative) sport. Flipping is a series of complex tricks and combinations that although may appear to have martial art influence do not serve or intend to serve such purpose.  All of the tricks performed demonstrate control and creativity with an edged instrument.  True balisong flippers never make claim that the tricks performed can be utilized in any martial application.
